§ 2.1. Legislative authority.

Whereas, local governments of the State of Georgia are authorized by the 1983 Georgia State Constitution, Article 9, Section 2, Paragraph 4, and O.C.G.A. § 66-36, to exercise the powers of planning and zoning; and whereas it has been determined by the Unified Government of Georgetown-Quitman County, Georgia that it is necessary and desirable to adopt zoning regulations under the authority of the above cited Constitutional and statutory provisions.
