§ 42-31. Title; purpose.

This article shall be known as the Quitman County Solid Waste Ordinance. It is the purpose of this article to provide for the healthy and sanitary management and disposal of solid waste in the county to ensure the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of the county and encourage recycling of selected material through education and voluntary compliance. It shall apply to the preparation, storage, collection and disposal of all solid waste and shall prohibit unsanitary conditions in the unincorporated areas of the county, as presently or hereafter established.
