§ 50-85. Sewer service charge.

(a)

There is hereby levied against each residence and each business as the terms "residence" and "business" are defined hereinabove, that has a water meter and which receives sewer service, a sewer service charge as follows:

Residential and Commercial Base Rate

0—2,000 gallons (minimum)	$25.00 (amt. may change)
Per 1,000 gallons over 2,000 gallons	$3.75 (amt. may change)

0—352,000 gallons (minimum)	$4,400.00 (amt. may change)
Per 1,000 gallons over 352,000	$3.75 (amt. may change)

 

(b)

There is hereby levied against each residence or business that does not have a water meter a flat rate charge of $40.00 per month or per billing cycle, whichever is shorter. Where any building contains therein more than one residence or more than one business, then the sewer service charge shall apply separately against each such residence and separately against each such business located therein.

(c)

The charges specified in this section shall not be applicable for water usage which is separately metered for the purpose of providing water for lawns, gardens, irrigation systems and swimming pools, where said waters will not be flowing directly into the Georgetown-Quitman County Water and Sewer Authority sewerage system as described in this division.
