THE LAND SUBDIVISION REGULATIONS
OF
QUITMAN COUNTY, GEORGIA
WHEREAS, THE County Commissioners of Quitman County and citizens of Quitman County
desire for the subdivisions that are developed in the County be developed in conformity
with plans and specifications that are of benefit to those who purchase lots in the
subdivision; and
WHEREAS, it is not only of benefit to those who purchase lots in the subdivision,
but a benefit to the tax base of the County for the subdivisions to be developed in
a manner that is convenient, attractive, and safe for citizens and in order to promote
the public health, safety, morals and general welfare,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Quitman County, in session
on the 9th day of May, 1995, that the following regulations be and hereby are adopted:
TITLE
An ordinance of Quitman County, Georgia, establishing rules and regulations governing
the subdivision of land into streets, blocks and lots, requiring street improvements
and the installation of utilities as a condition of plat approval, defining terms,
establishing procedures, providing penalties for violation, repealing ordinances and
for other purposes.
